Once you have BackOrder app installed, the app extension allows you to assign products to BackOrder right within the BigCommerce control panel.
In BigCommerce product catalog, click on the Action bar of the product and you will see the Backorder extension at the end of the action list.
Input the BackOrder details and hit Assign.
