You can customize your storefront to alert your customers that the product is being backordered. Storefront customization can be found under the Settings tab.
- You can customize the inventory description displayed on the Product Detail page.
- You can add a Shipping Description under Add to Cart button to let customer know that the product will be shipped later.
- You can change the “Add to Cart” button with the text and color of your choice.
- You can add a message to Cart page to alert customer about the delay in shipping as the product is backordered.
On another note, when a product is backordered, the backorder message will be included in the Order Confirmation Email.
